Why This Workshop?

This isn’t just a photowalk - it’s a focused, small-group session.
With a strict limit of six participants, there’s space to slow down and work closely together. Whether we’re navigating a busy street or reviewing images, you’ll get thoughtful, real-time feedback throughout - less about rules, more about seeing clearly.

What You Will Master:

  • The Art of Storytelling: Move beyond single frames and begin to build images that immerse the viewer - where the moment feels lived-in, and the atmosphere of the street comes through naturally..

  • Reading the Light: Learn to recognise light as it shifts through the street - how it falls, reflects, and disappears - and how to work with it instinctively.

  • Advanced Composition: Understand how to organise a scene. Not just where to stand, but how to bring elements together with intention and restraint.

  • Editing & Selection: The process continues after the shoot. You’ll learn how to step back, refine your selection, and shape a consistent visual voice.

Expect to be challenged:

We’ll be out early and stay with the light as it shifts into the afternoon - walking, observing, and working through real situations rather than staged ones. It’s not about covering ground, but about learning to slow down, notice, and respond.

This session is for those who want to refine their work - to move beyond isolated images and begin shaping a more consistent, personal way of seeing.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Please bring warm clothing and waterproof gear. We’ll be out shooting regardless of weather.

  • Expect to walk up to 5 miles during the session.

  • Group size is limited to a maximum of 6–8 participants to keep the experience focused and personal.

  • A basic understanding of your camera (aperture, shutter speed, and manual controls) is required.

  • Bring spare batteries. Try to avoid reviewing images while shooting — this helps conserve battery and keeps you present in the moment.

  • The workshop fee covers tuition only. Travel, accommodation, meals, and other personal expenses are not included.

  • Accommodation should be booked centrally (close to main meeting areas). Full details will be shared in advance.

  • A detailed schedule, meeting points, and preparation notes will be sent prior to the session.

  • Due to limited availability, cancellations are only refundable up to 60 days before the workshop.

  • Any approved refund will be subject to a processing fee, deducted from the original payment.

ABOUT GAURAV

My name is Gaurav Singh and I’m a photographer working across events, business photography, portraits, street photography, and personal milestones such as weddings and maternity shoots.

I’m drawn to natural light, honest expressions, and moments that unfold without direction. My aim is to create images that feel effortless, authentic, and deeply personal - photographs that tell your story as it truly is.

Alongside photography, I work professionally in game development, where I’ve spent years crafting visual worlds and narratives. That experience has shaped the way I see composition, light, framing, colour language, emotion, and visual hierarchy. It trained me to understand what draws the eye, what holds attention, and how atmosphere can influence feeling.

Those same principles guide my photography.

Whether it’s a quiet street moment or a significant life milestone, I approach every frame with intention - balancing story, light, and emotion to create images that feel cinematic yet real.
